What is Cornole?

What is cornhole you may ask? Well, it is an addicting backyard or tailgating game that is similar to horseshoes. It is also referred to as corn toss, bean bag toss, hillbilly horseshoes, bag toss, and Baggo to name just a few.

The game consists of two cornhole boards, placed 27 feet apart(30 feet from hole to hole). Standing at one end, you then throw corn filled bags at the opposite board. You receive 1 point for landing the bag on the board, and 3 points if the bag goes in the hole, otherwise known as a cornhole! Check out Rules of Cornhole for a full explanation.

The popularity of cornhole is exploding across the USA. It was formally mainly popular in the Midwest and northeast, but in the past couple of years cornhole has been really catching on from coast to coast. Here in Florida, just 2 or 3 years ago you would maybe see one, if any, cornhole games being played at tailgating events. However, it seemed this past football season, almost every other tailgater out there had their own cornhole game set up.

Cornhole is just not for tailgating either. It is great fun for kids, families, and has even become very popular in retirement communities. Most cornhole sets are easy to transport and can be set up in a parking lot, indoors, open fields, or just about anywhere.
